Shakin’ Stevens seemed to live up to his name on today’s Loose Women with a very ‘shaky’ live performance.
The ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’ singer, 70, belted out his festive classic at the end of the show but he was slammed for being ‘out of tune’.
To make it even more cringey, he was joined on stage by the panel in a variety of Christmas fancy dress outfits.
Shocked Loose Women viewers were stunned at how ‘awful’ his vocals were during the awkward performance.
Some claimed he was ‘making their ears bleed’, while others pleaded for the performance to stop.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "OMG – how out of tune is Shaky?"
"Shakin Stevens struggling to sing his own song," added another.
A third agreed: "Ooh dear, has someone set the mic wrong for poor old shakin’…..Sounds awful."
A fourth added: "Holy s***! Shaky is making my ears bleed!"
There were even claims that he was worse than the celebrities that took part in the ultimate Christmas sing-a-long.
A host of famous faces sang the same song in pre-recorded clips just minutes before Shakin’ Stevens took to the stage.
They included singer Boy George, EastEnders star Jake Wood, James ‘Arg’ Argent, Emily Atack and even Mr Blobby.
There was also a duet with Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas and everyone’s favourite fox Basil Brush.
After they had finished, Shakin’ Stevens appeared on stage with a live band.
Carol McGiffin turned up as a Christmas present, while Stacey Solomon came as a cracker.
Fellow panelist Andrea McLean was a Christmas tree and Kaye Adams was dressed as a pudding.
They were also joined by TOWIE star Joey Essex in a Santa costume, while Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden joined the party.
*Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
