Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) could be about to have her secret exposed in Coronation Street as she undergoes tests for her baby, which could prove that Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) isn’t the father.
Recently in the ITV soap, Adam and Sarah were chatting in the flat after he experienced a panic attack while in court.
Adam explained that he got overwhelmed because he was thinking about the paternity test results. Sarah told him that he shouldn’t worry about that right now, but Adam misunderstood and thought she was saying that because they had come back and confirmed he’s the father, not because she wanted to just keep him calm.
Sarah kept the truth from Adam, meaning he’s spent the past few weeks believing that the matter with Damon (Ciaran Griffiths) is over, because he’s the baby’s dad.
Coming up, at Sarah’s latest scan, the sonographer confirms that the baby is healthy and suggests a blood test to find out the sex.
The sonographer then offers a test for genetic diseases, and Gail (Helen Worth) and Adam both assure her there are no genetic illnesses in their families, but Adam clocks Sarah’s unease and is left suspicious.
Later on, when Daniel (Rob Mallard) asks him about the scan, Adam suffers another panic attack. Once he’s calmer, he tells Daniel that he clocked Sarah’s discomfort and still doesn’t trust her.
Back at the flat, Adam tells Sarah that he needs to know for sure that he’s the father and has asked the clinic to send written confirmation.
Is this the moment Sarah tells Adam the truth?
Or will the genetic tests prove that Damon is the father?
