The singer, 45, posted a comical video of his one-year-old determinedly looking for his favourite cereal – completely unruffled by the fact they had run out.
Convinced that there were still some Cheerios up for grabs, the tot – who Peter shares with wife Emily MacDonagh – climbed into the cupboard and rifled through the many boxes of cereal.
"He’s been searching for Cheerios for days. It’s an ongoing saga… #cheeriogate," the Mysterious Girl hitmaker captioned the clip.
But Peter's running commentary of Theo's hunt proved to be even funnier, as the TV presenter joked: "As you can see, he's still searching. He's got all these out now."
Panning the camera to an empty container that was labelled with the cereal, Pete teased: "He doesn't realise that was the Cheerio box. He's still searching for those Cheerios."
Fans instantly gushed over the adorable video, with one commenting: "Ahhhhh love him….. he deserves Cheerios after searching so hard for days."
Another enthused: "Really do wish Instagram had a laughing button instead of just a heart one…that's so funny lol."
"Is he looking for Narnia in there!??" a further fan mocked.
It isn't the first time Pete has left fans laughing with his playful Instagram posts in the last few days, recently sending them wild with an X-rated joke.
On Friday the star shared a short clip of his shopping basket, before he placed a bottle of chamomile shower gel in front of the screen.
He said: "Chamomile? I wish I could" before turning the camera on himself and pulling a shocked face.
His fans flooded his page with comments, with one writing: "shocking Peter shocking" while another added: "Love your jokes keep them "coming" Pete".
A third posted: "Pure filth Andre!!!!! What would your mother say???"
