Peaky Blinders season 6: Arthur Shelby killed as old face returns for revenge?

Peaky Blinders: Arthur Shelby intimidates Billy Grade in the pub

Arthur Shelby (played by Paul Anderson) will have to face demons from his past when a familiar face returns in Peaky Blinders. Linda Shelby (Kate Phillips) was last seen in the BBC drama in season five when she recovered from being shot by Polly Gray (Helen McCrory). However, will her return lead to Arthur’s life being in danger as his wife finally gets the revenge she craved before she left?

Actress Kate has been seen on the set of Peaky Blinders after the show got the go-ahead to resume filming.

The drama has to delay production due to the coronavirus pandemic but the sixth series is finally up and running.

In pictures leaked from the set, Kate was spotted alongside Paul but it’s not yet clear why Linda will return to Birmingham.

In season five, Linda became tired of the Peaky Blinders way and began to look for a divorce.

Lizzie Shelby (Natasha O’Keefe) advised her against it but Linda became increasingly distant from her husband and reached out to a widower.

When Arthur finds out about the other man he jumps to the wrong conclusions and brutally assaults him.

Linda is enraged by her husband’s behaviour and decides to kill him but is stopped by Polly who shoots her in the arm.

After the bullet is removed, Arthur begs his wife to reconsider their marriage but Linda refuses and leaves the family for good.

Linda was adamant she wanted nothing more to do with her husband and his family so what reason could she have to return?

Arthur and her share a son Billy Shelby (Etahan Picard-Edwards) and the returning character may be spurred on by her son’s interest in his father.

Linda could pretend she wants to start afresh with Arthur and give him an opportunity to be there for his son.

However, the Shelby brother’s life could hang in the balance when Linda’s true motive of revenge is exposed.
