NICOLE Scherzinger has spoken out about her fear over her mum having open heart surgery a fortnight before Christmas.
The 42-year-old singer took to Instagram to open up about the ordeal, dubbing her mum a "miracle" and the "greatest Christmas gift".
Nicole posted a sweet family snap of her snuggled up next to her mother and sister Keala Leemon beside the Christmas tree.
The Pussycat Doll wished everyone a "Merry Christmas" before explaining how "hard" the time had been for the family.
"Can't believe just over 2 weeks ago you battled your 2nd open heart surgery, mommy," she wrote.
"It has been a hard and scary road, but you are our miracle. The greatest Christmas gift is to be with you today. I love you more than anything."
She added the prayer hands emoji to the caption, noting that "family is everything" in a hashtag and adding "Mele Kalikimaka", the Hawaiian translation of a seasons greeting.
Nicole recently revealed she is ready to start a family of her own and become a mum after a year with her boyfriend Thom Evans.
She confirmed she pair "wanted children" after The Sun exclusively revealed she was actively trying to fall pregnant.
A friend of the couple explained: "Thom told pals he’s been taking supplements to boost fertility. Nicole and Thom are ridiculously loved-up, and have had serious conversations about everything from marriage to babies.
"No one would be surprised if they had some baby news in the coming months.
"Thom currently lives with his brother and a housemate in London which hardly makes for a romantic love nest.
"They are looking to buy a house together once lockdown is over."
