Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win premieres on ITV on Saturday night. The quiz is the presenting duo’s first new show in over a decade. The series sees contestants climb a limitless money ladder by answering numerical themed questions as they attempt to win life-changing sums of money. However, if they get too many questions wrong, players could end up losing it all. In a recent interview, Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly confessed there are some “dramatic” moments on the quiz show that left them feeling nervous.
The presenting pair chatted about their excitement for the new series in an interview with Express.co.uk and other press.
However, Ant and Dec confessed they aren’t anything like regular quiz hosts.
Ant remarked: “Normally, hosts of quiz shows traditionally are quite cool and quite calm.”
“We’re not cool!” Dec exclaimed.
Ant agreed: “That is the last thing we are. We wear our expressions and we wear our emotions on our face.”
He confessed viewers will see them shouting and “hiding under the desk” throughout the series.
Ant revealed fans can expect some nail-biting moments in the show’s opening episode on Saturday.
He said: “There’s one point in the first episode where the couple that we have on kind of risk it, they risk a lot of money that they’d already banked.
“We nearly had kittens and nearly jumped over the side of the set,” he laughed.
Dec emphasised their emotive reactions on the show are real as they never know the answers to the questions.
He said: “We didn’t want to know any of the questions or have any of the answers either.
“So, we’re playing along with the contestants as well,” the presenter explained.
Dec continued: “That for us was an added kind of feature that you’re in it and you’re living the journey.”
Enthusing about the uniqueness of the quiz show, Dec insisted: “It’s a real roller coaster.
“They can be down and have very few lives and suddenly they get a question right and they get more lives and they’re up the ladder again.
“Then we get an exact answer and suddenly they’ve banked the whole amount of money.
“So, then they’re risking that every time they play on. It’s like that, it’s up and down.
“It’s really fun, really exciting, but really dramatic as well,” he added.
Dec insisted the show is also fun for viewers at home and will leave many “shouting at the telly”.
Ant and Dec’s Limitless Win airs Saturdays at 8.30pm on ITV.
