Despite finishing near the foot of the leaderboard during Movie Week on Strictly Come Dancing, Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova managed to avoid the dreaded dance-off and secure their spot in the next stage of the competition. In the end, BBC presenter Richie Anderson and his pro partner Giovanni Pernice said their goodbyes, meaning Matt and Nadiya will dance again in Week Four.
The Bros singer and Nadiya will be hoping to propel themselves up the leaderboard in Week Four by dancing the Jive to Paul McCartney’s classic song, All Shook Up.
But appearing on Wednesday’s It Takes Two, Matt admitted the fast-paced rehearsals have left him rather worse for wear.
Teasing what’s to come for the pair, Janette asked: “Nadiya, you’ve got a few days of training now, you’re into Wednesday, how’s the training going?”
“It’s going great. I can hear all the different sounds,” Nadiya quipped, referring to Matt’s complaints.
Matt then winced as he replicated his training struggles by grabbing his knee and exclaiming: “Oooh, aaah.”
The singer added: “It’s like my knee, honestly, it feels like a distant relative that’s angry with me.”
Nadiya then weighed back in: “(I hear) all of that, all of those (sounds).”
However, it isn’t just Matt who is feeling the negative side effects of their upcoming routine.
Nadiya admitted: “I’m feeling it! The way he’s learning to dance, he’s like, ‘Okay, we learned the structure, now music please!’
“And (he’s like), ‘Keep going’. Okay, then it’s, ‘Let’s just keep going, it’s the Jive’.
“But I’m like, ‘Can we just take five minutes’, and (he says), ‘No, no, no,’ again. So I’m in pain, Janette!”
“Wow,” Janette replied, seemingly impressed that Matt had been able to put a professional dancer through the wringer.

Spotting Janette’s excitement, Matt jokingly clapped and said: “Yeah round of applause for your pain!”
Nadiya let out a laugh before Janette delved further into the ’50s-inspired routine ahead.
“Is it nice for you to get into character with this one?” Janette asked, to which Matt replied: “Yeah, I think the front end of it is all character-based.
“And obviously the Viennese Waltz is all character which was beautiful.
“So to have some kind of context to what I’m doing really agrees with the way I write songs and the way I perform.
“I’m starting to understand the Strictly thing, if you know what I’m saying.”
But will Matt and Nadiya’s rigorous training be enough to save them another week or will they head for the dreaded dance-off?
Strictly Come Dancing returns Saturday at 6:30pm on BBC One.
