THE average first-time buyer will take seven-and-a-half years to save for a deposit to get on the property ladder, new research has found. And those…
Married at First Sight UK fans were left fuming on Monday night, after the addictive E4 dating show moved from its usual time slot of 9pm to air one hour earlier.
Many fans were anxiously awaiting to see the return of all 10 couples who had taken part in the experiment, yet several had missed out on part of the episode, after only realising too late that it had aired at a different time.
Hitting out at E4 for the change, one disgruntled viewer wrote: “Dear @E4Tweets, You could have warned us! Married at First Sight started at 8pm!!!! At least that means fewer potty mouths.”
Another confused viewer also expressed their ire as they wrote: “Since when did #MAFSUK start at 8pm?”
A third fan also lamented the change adding: “Why do you mess around with the time of things? A bit of warning would be nice that mafs is on earlier!”
A fourth was also distraught after realising they had missed almost all of the episode by tuning in at 9pm.
They wrote: “Switched on the telly at 9pm to watch MAFS only to realise it was on an hour early and I’ve missed almost all of it raging isn’t the word.”
Thankfully, fans are able to catch up on All4.
As the episode got underway, the status of the remaining couples was soon revealed, with only a handful of the couples still together at the reunion, with a few shocking splits also unveiled along the way.
One couple who had previously seemed iron clad was Chanita Sanderson and Jordan Emmett-Connelly, but in heartbreaking scenes, the pair opened up about why their marriage hadn’t worked as they finally sat down to have a heart to heart.
Controversial couple Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes, who first got together behind their spouses' backs, also revealed that they had parted ways, although their particular break-up had been far less shocking than their counterparts.
Despite a calm beginning, events at the dinner party soon took a turn set to turn, with many of the couples being left in floods or tears and rowing.
The dramatic change of pace will continue into Tuesday night's show, as a teaser revealed the next half of the reunion will be filled with the clashes and explosive rows we're used to.
The tamer nature of the episode was partly due to the timing change, revealed stars Duka Cavolli, Sophie Brown, Adrian Sanderson and Chanita Stephenson in an Instagram Q&A session shortly after the episode aired.
The dinner party had got a lot more colourful in upcoming scenes with most of the argument – and the language used – not being fit to be broadcast prior to the watershed, they claimed.
“They made Monday’s episode more family friendly.” revealed the stars, who also teased that a far more dramatic episode will follow on Tuesday.
Married at First Sight UK continues tomorrow night on E4 at 9pm.
