Luckless George in Corrie is injured by a roast dinner because that's his life
George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) run of bad luck continues in Coronation Street as he only goes and breaks a tooth while eating a roast dinner!
Recently, George faced trouble at work because he wasn’t sleeping properly.
It transpired that George was trying to stay awake while at Eileen’s (Sue Cleaver), fully aware his very loud snoring would mean the whole of Weatherfield wouldn’t get a wink of sleep.
Eventually, George got help from the doctor and was told he actually has sleep apnea – a condition that sees his breathing stop and start while asleep.
Focus continues to be on George and his troubles next week, as he sits down to a roast dinner cooked by Sean (Antony Cotton).
The problem? Sean has attempted to cook a roast, so the pork is practically burnt.
Eileen, George and Todd (Gareth Pierce) sit down for dinner but as George takes a bite, he’s alarmed to realise he’s broken a tooth!
The next day, George promises Eileen he’ll see the dentist, but he needs to get Mr Pugh’s funeral out of the way first.
Ah poor George!
We could ‘crack’ a joke, but George’s tooth has beaten us to it…
