Love Island had its first re-coupling of the series on Tuesday night which saw Davide Sanclimenti couple up with Gemma Owen.
Some fans of the ITV show were left furious with the 27-year-old's decision to pick Michael Owen's 19-year-old daughter and threatened to complain to Ofcom over the huge age gap.
Gemma was originally coupled up with Liam Llewellyn, 22, but had her head turned when the Italian stallion entered the villa.
After getting a text to gather around the fire pit and make his decision, Davide told the islanders: "I decided to couple up with this girl because there's not just attraction.

"I mean, yes she's a stunning girl but I felt like we really had a good time and I would like to know her more.
"So the girl I would like to couple up with is Gemma."
The re-coupling didn't go down too well with viewers as they called on Ofcom to intervene in the "weird" decision.
One person Tweeted: "Weird guy for picking the teenager."

One fan wrote: "Oh god Gemma and Davide? Someone call Ofcom. That’s f**** disgusting," whilst another said: "27-year-old coupling up with a 19-year-old, I’m calling Ofcom."
Liam is now at risk of being dumped from the island as he is currently single.
However, two new girls are set to enter the villa and they're not afraid to step on some toes.
At the end of Tuesday's episode, it was confirmed that Afia Tonkmor and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu will be heading in to join the other islanders.
Afia, 25, said: "If I see a guy that I want in the villa, I'm definitely going to make sure that I get him
"Watch out girls, I'm coming for your mans."
Ekin-Su, 27, said: "I can't wait to get into the villa because I personally think I'll bring everything, the whole package – drama, tears, laughter, joy and love.
"I am looking for the love of my life, I'm not there to make friends. If someone wants to have an argument with me, bring it on."
Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2
