Little Mix share clip from behind the scenes of Sweet Melody music video on Instagram

LITTLE Mix offered fans a sneak peek behind the scenes of the music video for their latest hit song Sweet Melody.

After saying goodbye to Jesy Nelson last month, the clip shared online focused on two of the remaining members.

The official music video for Sweet Melody was first aired in October 2020 and includes clips of former member Jesy Nelson.

Now, in a behind-the-scenes post from the making of the glamorous video, the band showed fans how it was made.

"Sweet Melody vid rehearsals," the band wrote under a video of Perrie Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall, practicing their moves.

The 15-second clip sees the pair, who make up two of the three remaining members alongside Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, dressed all in black and swishing their hair as they dance to the track.

In the background a host of female back-up dancers join in and mimic their moves, stomping and moving with the beat.

The girls were quick to take to the comments to joke about the clip, which also sees Jade, 28, whip her long braids back and forth, narrowly missing Perrie, 27.

"It was after this that Perrie told me to move out of the way a bit after nearly killing her with my braids for the 173617th time," Jade joked.

Perrie jibed back: "Dear Jade's braids. I nearly lost an eye. I got whiplash. And you went in my mouth a few times."

Sweet Melody recently hit No.1 in the charts, with Perrie breaking the news early hours before it was due to be announced by BBC Radio 1.

She posted a shot of some roses she had been given by boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to celebrate the achivement.

The star wrote"No1 Babyyyyy ?" while Sweet Melody, their third single from the Confetti album, played.

After the hit record was released, Jesy confirmed she had quit Little Mix after nine years in the band "took a toll on her mental health".

The star took to Instagram after taking "extended time off" from the group to explain she was leaving the band with a "heavy heart".

She reflected on the success of the band since winning The X Factor in 2011, insisting it had been the "most incredible time" of her life.

She continued: "I can't thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

"You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never ever forget it.

"The truth is, recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard."
