Killing Eve Konstantin actor teases ‘shocking’ fourth and final BBC series

Killing Eve actor Kim Bodnia has teased what fans can expect from the fourth and final series of the hit BBC show, revealing the scripts completely ‘shocked’ and delighted him.

The charismatic star, who has won fans for his portrayal of Konstantin since series one, joined hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in the This Morning studio to chat about the final chapter of the award-winning show.

Kim, who is part of a mega-star cast including Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh, told them that filming is now well underway, hinting at what diehard fans can expect and saying they won’t be disappointed with the ending.

Crediting the writing team with giving the show a fitting conclusion, Kim said: “I love the writers and I love every time they come in with new stuff and new brains.”

Teasing parts of his Killing Eve alter-ego’s story, he said: “I’m shocked. I think, ‘Do I do that?! Do I think like that?! I love their brains. It’s so hilarious.”

Kim also confessed emotions are already running high on set, as he and his cast mates know it is the last time they will all be working together.

The star explained: “I tell you what, it’s so sad that this is the last season of Killing Eve. It has been so wonderful because it is like a family.”

“Four years now and it’s sad, but, you know what, the love everybody has given us who watch the show is still inside me, and it will continue to be inside me.”

As Phil grilled Kim on whether he’d like the show to continue “forever,” he answered honestly: “No, because [Jodie Comer’s] a young star, she has to move on.”

Continuing to sing the Liverpudlian actress’ praises, Kim, who has joined the cast of The Witcher for the second series, went on: “I’m so happy she became that star.”

This comes after TV bosses announced that the fourth series would mark the end of the road for the popular thriller.

Speaking about the news at the time, Sandra Oh, who plays Eve, said: “Killing Eve has been one of my greatest experiences and I look forward to diving back into Eve’s remarkable mind soon.”

She continued: “I’m so grateful for all the cast and crew who have brought our story to life and to the fans who have joined us and will be back for our exciting and unpredictable fourth and final season.”

Meanwhile Jodie, who has been propelled to worldwide fame thanks to Killing Eve, echoed Sandra’s thoughts.

The star said: “Killing Eve has been the most extraordinary journey and one that I will be forever grateful for.”

“Thank you to all the fans who’ve supported us throughout and come along for the ride. Although all good things come to an end, it’s not over yet. We aim to make this one to remember!”
