KATIE Price set tongues wagging when she declared she was trying for a baby and then told fans it was 'that time' as she started taking folic acid.
Now the mum-of-five, 42, exclusively tells The Sun why she's taking the pregnancy supplement as she steps up her journey to have a baby with Carl Woods.
Katie told The Sun she’s not pregnant but is now tracking her ovulation dates and taking extra supplements as she didn't fall pregnant after trying over Christmas.
"I’m not pregnant yet so I’ve started taking these supplements – they were recommended by a friend,” Katie exclusively tells The Sun.
“I’ve never had to take anything to try and get pregnant before but I'm obviously older now so I need a bit of help – I'm desperate for another baby.”
Katie set tongues wagging on the weekend when posted a picture of a bottle of folic acid to her Instagram stories, saying it's "that time".
She has been very open about wanting a baby with her new boyfriend Carl, 31.
"I'm also using this app called Maya which is brilliant and never wrong in my journey to have another baby," she told us.
Folic acid is known to help prevent birth defects and the NHS recommends people who can get pregnant should take a "folic acid tablet every day before you're pregnant and until you're 12 weeks pregnant".
The former glamour model tagged Carl in the picture and writing, "yep it's that time, get ready @carljwoods I love you boo".
Katie previously told The Sun in an exclusive chat that she's desperate for a baby in 2021 and feels time ticking away.
“I’m not getting any younger . . . I do look younger as I get older but you know what I mean,” she told The Sun.
"It’s all happened really fast but I know Carl is the man for me. He’s The One and I couldn’t be happier — look at me!"
The couple just spent their first Christmas together with all five of Katie’s children, Harvey, 18, Junior, 15, Princess, 13, Jett, seven, and six-year-old Bunny.
“It would be amazing to enter the New Year with a baby on the way and a ring on my finger," she said.
The loved-up couple enjoyed a "baby-making" holiday to the Maldives in October, hoping they would conceive.
