FIRST Dates star Cici Coleman has revealed the secrets behind the popular Channel 4 show – and fans may be surprised.

The waitress, 36, who has become a firm favourite on the dating programme, admitted that some elements of the show is not as glamourous as people think.

The show sees single men and women go on blind dates in a bid to find love.

"The main part people don't understand is that a lot of the time we're sat in a little cramped room in the back. It's not as glam as when we are on the floor," Cici told Daily Star.

"Sometimes we are waiting in the staff kitchen and sat there with all the pots and pans trying to find a chair.

are too many of us and we've made a chair out of a can or something and it's cold to sit on.

First Dates’ Cici Coleman left ‘vulnerable’ as flirty man oversteps the mark

"It's not always glam like it seems but when you get out on the floor there is no better feeling than walking out there with the lovely atmosphere and lighting and you see people connecting with each other."

It comes after Cici revealed last week that she was left feeling "embarrassed and vulnerable" when a man overstepped the mark on the Channel 4 show.

The online coach said she finds it uncomfortable when men flirt with her in front of their date.

Cici admitted that kind of behaviour is an immediate "red flag".
