On Monday’s Good Morning Britain, ITV hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley were back as they discussed the latest news headlines. Throughout the programme, the duo spoke with former Prime Minister Gordon Brown and former football legend Paul Gascoigne. The presenters also spoke with weather presenter Laura Tobin about the backlash she received for travelling to the Arctic to discuss climate change
However, during the segment, Laura was quick to hit back at the criticism as she explained she “wasn’t telling people what to do”.
“I never said to people don’t fly,” the presenter explained. “I just said, fly less.
“We saw over the last year with the pandemic, omissions fell and were seven percent lower than they would have been.
“The way we have cut down and what we have been doing will definitely help.”
