Big Sky: ABC release trailer for new thriller series

Big Sky airs on ABC and the thriller follows two private detectives who are hired on a kidnapping case. Two sisters disappeared having been taken by a truck driver, but they are not the only girls who have gone missing. Fans are keen to know how many episodes are in the series as the tension continues to rise.

How many episodes are in Big Sky?

Fans have been hooked on Big Sky ever since it started airing in 2020, as the detectives are on a race against the clock.

They must catch and detain the killer before another woman is hurt, but it is not an easy mission.

The series stars Vikings actress Katheryn Winnick as one of the cops – Jenny Hoyt.

Kylie Bunbury plays Cassie Dewell, the other private detective on the case, and she works with Jenny’s ex-husband Cody Hoyt (Ryan Phillippe).

The pilot attracted more than four million viewers and fans have been left on the edge of their seats throughout.

The episodes have been airing weekly, every Tuesday, on the American network ABC and there are 16 episodes in total.

The series was first announced in January 2020 and in December of that year, the series was given a six-episode backorder.

The sixth episode aired at the end of January, with the next episode due to air on February 2.

This means the debut season is likely to come to an end on April 6, 2021.

The series is airing around the world with fans in Canada watching on CTV, and those in India watching on Disney+ Hotstar.

As of February 23, viewers across the rest of the world will be able to watch the episodes on Star, which will form part of Disney+.

Actress Winnick has been teasing the weekly episodes on Instagram, and at the end of January 2020, she wished her co-star a happy birthday.

Posting a photo of herself as Jenny with co-star Bunbury as Cassie, she said: “Happy Birthday to my amazing partner in crime.”

There is also an official Instagram account for the series, and regular videos are posted ahead of each episode.

The latest video shows one of the victims receiving a threatening note from the killer.

Cassie said the killer must have known they were co-operating with the detectives and he was trying to intimidate them.

The detectives urge the victim to go to the police so they can assign some protection following the threats.

Fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement, with one saying: “I got a recommendation to watch Big Sky. I was not prepared! I’ve been talking to the TV and screaming since I started watching. #@abc #BigSky.”

Another said: “Everyone needs to stop what they’re doing and watch Big Sky on ABC/Hulu IT’S SO GOOD [sic].”

The weekly episodes air at 10pm eastern time and 9pm central time in America.

Big Sky airs on Tuesdays on ABC.
