Hollyoaks Eric star Angus Castle-Doughty’s life – from old jobs to hunky snaps

Hollyoaks favourites Tony (Nick Picard) and Verity Hutchinson (Eva O'Hara) are set to receive a visit from their estranged brother in upcoming scenes.

Actor Angus Castle-Doughty has joined the cast of the Channel 4 soap as Eric Foster.

The newcomer will make his debut as part of the show's special International Women Day's episode, which airs on E4 at 7pm on March 7.

Eric's unexpected arrival is set to come as a shock to his sister Verity.

With a complex dynamic between the siblings, Hollyoaks spoilers reveal that socially awkward Eric will struggle to integrate himself into village life.

However, Verity will be there to introduce him to the village residents.

Fans will also see how Tony reacts to meeting his estranged brother for the first time.

Opening up about joining Hollyoaks, Angus said: "From the moment I started, I’ve felt really welcomed into the fold.

"Eva [O’Hara] and I clicked straight away – we’ve had many discussions about our characters' relationship.

"Eric’s upcoming storyline is topical, important, and one which hasn’t been covered in soap before, and we are working really hard to do it justice."

Before joining Hollyoaks, Angus appeared in Showtrial, Shadow and Bone and Agatha Raisin.

The actor is also active on social media and often shares snaps with his followers.

He's already posed for some snaps with his on-screen sibling Eva O'Hara and a behind-the-scenes selfie wearing a coat embroided his his characters name.

Angus is also no stranger to sharing some topless snaps on his Instagram page.

In one snap, the TV personality can be seen posing showing off his ripped abs in just a pair if swim shorts.

Clearly a fan of travelling the globe, Angus can also seen posing for a snap alongside a pal at Ibiza nightclub Ushuaïa Beach Hotel.

As well as appearing on the small screen, the actor has also made his mark in stage shows.

He starred in The Net Kill in October 2019 and All Quiet On The Western Front in January 2020.

2022 is set to be a busy year for Angus.

As well as joining Hollyoaks, he is set to appear in TV series Blood and short film Two's a Crowd.

Fans will have to wait and see what drama Eric brings to the village.

Hollyoaks airs weekdays at 6.30pm on Channel 4 followed by a first-look episode on E4 at 7pm
