Here's The Sitch: The Live-Action 'Kim Possible' Movie Just Cast Its Lead Duo

Back in February, Disney announced there was Kim Possible live-action movie in the works. Even though the movie isn’t set to hit theaters until 2019, today we learned exactly who will be playing the sassy teenage crime fighter and her nacho-loving sidekick.

Sadie Stanley and Sean Giambrone have been cast in the roles of Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable, respectively. Impressively, it was 16-year-old Stanley’s first audition ever. You may or may not recognize 18-year-old Giambrone from the ABC sitcom, The Goldbergs.

“Sadie delivers Kim’s confidence, smarts, and agility; most importantly, she’s an everyday girl with an extraordinary spirit,” said Judy Taylor, senior vice president of casting and talent relations at Disney Channel. “Sean is such a magnetic actor; he always finds the right balance of physical comedy and heart. We’re excited for audiences to see Sadie and Sean bring these iconic roles to life.”

The original series ran from 2002 to 2007 on Disney Channel, with Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle voicing the show’s central duo. Romano and Friedle helped announce the casting news today in a video sketch which showed them vying for their former roles (despite the fact they are obviously too old to play high schoolers).

No word yet who will play Wade, or more importantly, Ron’s naked mole rat Rufus.
