Have any of the Married At First Sight couples lasted?

Married At First Sight is back with a new bunch of strangers walking down the aisle.

The fourth series of the reality show, which bids to find willing participants' perfect match and send them off to get hitched, kicks off on Wednesday 20 March.

However, some viewers are understandably a little sceptical about the idea that you could actually find love with someone you've only just met.

So, does it work?

Well, so far the UK version of the show has had a grand total of zero successful marriages.

From Ben Jardine and Stephanie to Harriet and Richard, all 10 of the couples who joined the show ended up splitting.

However, hope is not lost for the next batch of newlyweds, as in the US and Australia the results have been a little more promising.

Here are the Married At First Sight couples who have gone the distance from across the world..

Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner

In the US, Doug Hehner's wedding to Jamie Otis is still going strong after tying the knot in 2014.

The show contestant, who previously attempted to find love on The Bachelor, had much better luck on his second TV conquest as he is still happily with Jamie five years on – and the pair even renewed their vows one year on.

Sadly, the couple also faced heartbreak after they lost their first child while Jamie was four months pregnant.

However, they happily announced the arrival of their first child Henley Grace in the summer of 2017.

Cortney Hendrix & Jason Carrion

The American show also produced a successful marriage for season 1 stars Corney Hendrix and Jason Carrion, who are still together after their wedding in 2014.

The pair have remained together despite some bumps in the road, including the death of Jason's mother in the first year of their marriage.

While some fans thought they split in 2018 after they hadn't shared details of their marriage on social media for a while, Cortney quickly proved the haters wrong as she shared a selfie with her hubby, alongside the caption: "STFU".

Anthony D'Amico and Ashley Petta

Anthony D'Amico and Ashley Petta met on season 5 of the hit show in the US, and hit it off straight away.

The coupe welcomed a baby girl named Mila together in January of this year.

"We never knew we could love someone so much!" Ashley told People at the time.

"She is perfect in every way. Holding her for the first time was the most amazing surreal moment of my life."

Jephte Pierre and Shawniece Jackson

US season 6 alumni Jephte Pierre and Shawniece Jackson have also proved the show is the real deal by staying together since they wed.

The couple seem besotted with each other after leaving the show behind, and have even welcomed a baby girl named Laura Denise.

Shawniece gave birth in August of last year, with the pair revealing to People that welcoming their first child was "magical".

Danielle Bergman and Bobby Dodd

Danielle Bergman and Bobby Dodd are the final American couple still going strong.

The pair welcomed daughter Olivia Nicole in February of this year, just months after tying the knot on season 7 of the show.

“We have been beyond blessed this last year to find each other, to find love and to create a life together, but nothing will top our sweet Olivia," Danielle said to People at the time.

Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr

While Married At First Sight Australia's success rate is almost as poor as the UK's, they have had one couple who have gone the distance.

Season 2 stars Erin Bateman and Bryce Mohr recently celebrated their third wedding anniversary, and revealed they hope to tie the knot again in front of their loved ones.

The pair added that they "definitely" want kids when the time is right.
