Is there a first look at Crowley and Aziraphale?

Amazon Prime has finally given fans an update on Good Omens and confirmed the release of season two.

Season two is already in development, with the show set to film later in 2021 and will release in the summer of 2022.

The synopsis the second season has given fans an insight on what to expect, explaining that season two will see Crowley and Aziraphale living amongst mortals in London’s Soho.

The duo enjoying life after saving the world from the end of days, however, the pair’s new life is suddenly upended when an unexpected letter presents them with a surprising mystery.

So far, Amazon has only released a poster that shows Crowley and Aziraphale walking together closely under an umbrella.

Currently, there is no trailer for the upcoming season, with the show yet to film part two of Crowley and Aziraphale’s story.

The second season is an original story based partly on ideas original authors Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett had for a novel back in the 1990s.

Gaiman is also a producer on the show and has been writing the second season.

The author shared a statement when with the news of season two, saying: “It’s thirty-one years since ‘Good Omens’ was published, which means it’s thirty-two years since Terry Pratchett and I lay in our respective beds in a Seattle hotel room at a World Fantasy Convention and plotted the sequel.

“I got to use bits of the sequel in Good Omens — that’s where our angels came from. Terry’s not here any longer, but when he was, we had talked about what we wanted to do with ‘Good Omens,’ and where the story went next.

“And now, thanks to BBC Studios and Amazon, I get to take it there.”

A trailer for season two will drop once filming is completed, so the earliest fans should expect it is early 2022.

For now, Amazon Prime and Neil Gaiman will be keeping the details surrounding season two to themselves, with more information likely to come in late-2021.

As this season is a completely original work from Neil Gaiman, there is no source material for fans to go through and try and guess what will happen.

Despite Gaiman announcing the season on Twitter and responding to fans, he isn’t giving anything away.

When one fan asked the writer about plot details, Gaiman hit back with: “I’m not actually going to tell people what’s going to happen in upcoming episodes, so that there are no spoilers and nobody has advance warning of the plot.

“I might even mislead people. Go in knowing and expecting nothing.”

Fans have been sharing their excitement over the news of season two, with many of them taking to Twitter to discuss Good Omens season two.

One fan wrote: “Raising a glass to #GoodOmens season 2 in the best company a girl could ask.”

Another added: “I briefly checked the date and it turns out it is NOT the first of April, I really curious about what will happen!!” (sic)

A third shared: “Good Omens season 2 here we goooo!”
