Geordie Shore's Amelia Lily slams Chloe Ferry feud rumours as stars promise sex, nudity, & love triangles in new series

IT has been almost a decade since fresh-faced Amelia Lily burst into the spotlight on The X Factor.

At the tender age of 16, the aspiring singer wowed the judges with her talent – finishing as runner-up in the series that was eventually won by Little Mix.

Fast-forward to 2020 and Amelia has enjoyed a glittering music and theatre career, as well as a brief stint in the Celebrity Big Brother house back in 2017, where she came second to champ Sarah Harding.

And now the star, who is still only 25 years old, is looking forward to showing fans her wild side as one of the newest members of MTV reality series Geordie Shore.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun Online, the Middlesbrough native admitted that some people were shocked when it was announced she'd signed up to the wildly outrageous show – famed for the cast's drunken nights out, blazing rows, and sex on camera – but insisted that she was more than able to keep up with the Geordies.

Amelia also spilled the beans on her rumoured feud with castmate Chloe Ferry as she and fellow newbies Ant Kennedy and Louis Shaw promised fans sex, nudity, and love triangles in the new series of the show.

Amelia and 24-year-old Chloe first sparked speculation that they are at loggerheads when they were pictured having a drunk and emotional altercation outside Powerhouse nightclub in Newcastle last October.

In shocking snaps, Chloe could be seen screaming at an upset Amelia, refusing to let her into the minibus that was taking the stars back to the Geordie Shore house.

Amelia was eventually forced into the front seat of the car, and sat with her head in her hands as Chloe continued shouting – but the star has now revealed that all is not what it seemed.

Teasing that we will need to tune into the show to find out exactly what happened, Amelia told us: "It wasn't a row – something happened in the taxi and that's why Chloe wouldn't let me get in.

"We weren't having a row, it wasn't anything – I had been upset about something else and everything got twisted.

"We don't have our phones in the house so I didn't know anything about [the pictures] until I came out and everyone was like: 'Oh my god, what happened with the argument?'

"I was like… What argument? We never argued! Me and Chloe got on from the minute I walked in that house, she probably gave me the warmest reception out of everyone."

She added: "I have to say, my relationship with the girls in that house were so solid and I am so grateful for that because it's always a bit nervewracking to be the new girl."

But while Amelia may have avoided an infamous Geordie row, she did fall victim to their boozing – admitting that she was spewing into boxes after the most drunken night of her life.

She sheepishly explained: "I was very, very sick – it was into a box… I was a right state. That was my worst hangover, I was in a bad way.

"But it's all part of the journey, you've got funny stories to tell – the girls always looked after me when I was in a bad state."

And Amelia confessed that she is actually excited to ditch her clean-cut image and prove to fans that she does let her hair down.

"People have kind of got to know me over the years, growing up on TV," she told us, "But people haven't seen the fun side to me where I got out and I let my hair down with a load of young people.

"I'm looking forward to them seeing that side of me because it's always been me on stage playing a character – I am excited for people to see Amelia for once."

Amelia continued: "People were shocked I was going to do Geordie Shore; I've never followed a rule book and I've had a crazy life since I left school 10 years ago.

"I have always thrown myself into any opportunity that's come my way, I like taking risks and Geordie Shore was a bloody good risk because I had a great time in there."

The new series, which premieres tonight at 10pm on MTV, was filmed before lockdown and social distancing rules came into place – meaning that the gang were able to get mortal, tash on, and strip off like usual.

Telling fans what they can expect from the upcoming episodes, fellow newbie Louis teased: "There are love triangles, nakedness, falling outs, sex, and seriously good house parties."

Ant added: "There's a lot of romances, a few ups and downs and just a laugh with plenty of getting drunk.

"There's a lot of nudity – there's a quadruple stripping off at one point, and its not even both genders – just pure lads!"
