Frankie Bridge ‘terrified’ after being pulled over ‘in the dark’ by police

Loose Women star Frankie Bridge has revealed she was left "terrified" after being pulled over in the dark by two police officers.

The former Saturdays star, 32, appeared on Friday's episode of the ITV daytime show where the panel were discussing the Met Police releasing guidance that women should question lone police offers in the event of an arrest.

Revealing she was once followed by two officers until she eventually turned down a road and pulled over, Frankie recounted her own bad experience with the police.

She said: "I ended up down this tiny, dark alley on my own and these two officers got out and they said I was driving erratically apparently and breathalysed me and I hadn't been drinking or anything.

"Then they said, 'oh, it was because my number plate was too dirty' and I said 'oh, I'm really sorry, I'll go and get it cleaned straight away' and he said, 'I want you to clean it now."

Explaining that she could only find a scarf to clean the number plate with, Frankie added: "He said, 'yep, use that'.

"So I was standing there wiping down my number plate and kind of acted really calm. "

She added: "It was dark at night. I was a lot younger [then] and then they left and I literally crumpled in my car and I was terrified.

"I remember ringing my mum afterwards and OK, maybe I had done something wrong, I don't know, but when you're in that situation like Katie said, you don't question things."
