    Emmerdale row on set

The Sun recently revealed Matthew and Isabel – who play couple David Metcalfe and Victoria Sugden – were caught up in the row as they were filming with Aaron Anthony, who plays personal trainer Ellis Chapman.

Tempers flared off camera and a source said: “It left a lot of those present at the filming feeling uncomfortable. It was a very heated situation. Tempers were running very high. It was tense and bosses got to hear about what had gone on very quickly.”

Matthew and Isabel took a break from filming at Tees Barrage water park in Stockton-on-Tees while bosses made inquiries. The stunt was to help mark ITV’s Super Soap Week last month.

One insider said: “The cast had travelled to film what they were calling the ‘Summer Stunt’ — dramatic waterfall scenes that aired on October 19.

“While they were on set a comment was made which unintentionally caused offence, and an argument broke out among some of the cast members. This was a massive deal for all of them and obviously everyone was under pressure to make scenes work."

Hollyoaks' Denise Welch removed from set

DENISE Welch has revealed she was removed from the Hollyoaks set after testing positive for Covid.

The 63-year-old, who plays Trish Minniver on the Channel 4 soap, slammed the “ridiculous” testing system after she received mixed results from her lateral flow and PCR.

She tweeted:  “Just had covid. Nothing like the bronchitis I had recently which was most ill I’ve ever been. Lost taste & smell with both. At work 10 days ago. Was removed from set & they had me tested. LF & PCR taken at same time. LF was negative, PCR came back positive. Go figure.

“By the way I’m not negating the danger of Covid in some people. I just lost my dad to pneumonia. All horrible virus’. But the testing is ridiculous. And to me all proves how pointless covid passports are.”

The actress, who has been very vocal about being against Covid rules and vaccines for children, went on to claim: “The fact that these tests have not been stopped in nearly 2 yrs is unbelievable. In April 2020, my radiographer cousin told me that in her London hospital people were testing negative when their lungs clearly showed Covid. She was also told she couldn’t say that ‘publicly’.”

Hollyoaks has confirmed that the set has remained open for filming to continue.

‘ItITV bosses ban soap stars appearing on OnlyFans (Continued…)

A TV insider said: “Stars like former Corrie actor Helen Flanagan are inundated with opportunities to promote products on platforms including Instagram.

“And earnings can often dwarf any salary actors get paid on the soaps, meaning it can be more lucrative to leave the shows to effectively sell goods.

“This is simply a smart way to ensure they can still advertise products while remaining on the shows .

“But they spell out in black and white what’s deemed unacceptable – as previously it’s been a grey area.”

ITV bosses ban soap stars appearing on OnlyFans

Following the news surrounding Ex-Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne being axed from the show after she had an OnlyFans account, Coronation street and Emmerdale bosses have placed a ban on the site.

Soap bosses issued the edict as part of a clamp down on actors flogging products on their social media platforms.

ITV have banned anything that could bring the company into disrepute, including cosmetic surgery and diet products and “adult entertainment.”

It comes in the wake of Hollyoaks receiving a major backlash for sacking actress Sarah Jayne Dunn after she launched her OnlyFans profile.

Hollyoaks bosses claimed it was not in keeping with their “youth audience” and terminated her contract when she refused to delete it.

Now ITV bosses have issued new rules that will allow their stars to cash in on their fame – just not on OnlyFans.

The move allows cast members to post paid advertisements, with the producers’ blessing, in a bid to prevent cast members from quitting the shows because they make more money online.

Emmerdale fans open-mouthed as they spot VERY familiar face in ITV drama

EMMERDALE fans were left gobsmacked after spotting a rather familiar face in The Tower on Monday night.

Viewers of the Yorkshire-based soap were forced to double-take as they quickly realised that DCI Tim Bailie was the infamous Robert Sudgen, played by Karl Davies.

Since his final Emmerdale appearance back in 2009, Karl has appeared in plenty of big shows since – but that hasn’t stopped fans from commenting whenever he appears in a new series.

Karl played Robert on the ITV flagship show between 2001 and 2005, with a one-off return in 2009 – and was even caught up in some major storylines.

Despite leaving the show, he is still mentioned frequently, with his sister Victoria Sugden and ex-husband Aaron Dingle still on the show.

Due to his jaw-dropping moments in the soap – such as causing the death of Max King – Karl’s portrayal of Robert certainly made him a character to remember.

With that said, fans soon released who was playing DCI Tim on The Tower this week and headed straight to Twitter to share their surprise.

One viewer commented: “The original Robert Sugden from Emmerdale, doing what he does best acting dodgy.”

Adam Woodyatt is set to quit the EastEnders soap for good after signing for I’m A Celebrity.

The actor, 53, is hoping that his stint on the ITV show will launch a whole new chapter in his career.

He is desperate to pursue telly work beyond Ian Beale, who he has played on the BBC1 soap since its launch in 1985.

A TV insider said: “He’s excited by the prospect of showing the nation who the real Adam Woodyatt is.

“He is optimistic it will open the minds of producers who might have previously only thought of him as Ian.

“And there are plenty of stars who’ve gone on to new things as a result of I’m A Celebrity.”

      EastEnders’ Adam Woodyatt’s rollercoaster life

EASTENDERS legend Adam Woodyatt is one of the BBC's highest-paid soap stars and has hung around in Walford longer than anyone else.

The 53-year-old actor reportedly earns between £200,000 and £249,000 for his role as Ian Beale in the BBC soap – and raked in an extra £1.2 million during lockdown from his actor management firm.

Not only that, his new firm Caledfwlch – which he set up ahead of his upcoming stint on I'm A Celebrity – has already banked another quarter of a million pounds.

Adam has reportedly signed a six-figure sum to appear on the ITV reality show, set at Gwrych Castle, North Wales.

Now we can reveal he’s set to earn millions when he quits EastEnders for good – all while his furious estranged wife Beverley, 56, struggles for cash.

According to popular culture expert Nick Ede, Adam could make a killing from his I'm A Celeb appearance, as fans finally get to see the man behind Ian Beale.

Sarah Jayne Dunn backed by many

DANIELLE Lloyd has backed Sarah Jayne Dunn saying joining OnlyFans was “the best decision I ever made”.

Sarah, 40, was axed from Hollyoaks after they learned she had been selling raunchy snaps on the adult-only site.

Danielle, 37, waded in on Instagram and said today: “I’ve just watched a debate on Good Morning Britain about OnlyFans. Obviously I’ve got an OnlyFans and I made the decision a year ago, I think it’s brilliant, probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. There’s no reason I wouldn’t be on there. I’ve done lads mags my whole life, that’s what my career was based on.

“So I feel really sad for Sarah Jayne because I know she’s on a TV show and she’s got a lot of young fans, she’s not putting anything on there that is explicit, she’s not putting anything on there that nobody’s seen before.

“She’s done all the magazines, she’s done all the lads mags herself. So it’s just crazy like I don’t understand.”
