EastEnders' Carmel Kazemi hears some harsh home truths as her exit gets closer

EastEnders‘ Carmel Kazemi will hear some harsh home truths next week as her exit gets closer.

Bonnie Langford is bowing out of her role as Carmel, with her final scenes due to be aired over the autumn.

Still desperate to make a difference in the wake of her son Shakil’s tragic death, upcoming scenes will see Carmel follow through with her plan to host a talk on knife crime at the Youth Club.

Unfortunately, the event doesn’t go entirely according to plan and Carmel ends up humiliating a teenager called Lewis.

However, as Carmel then chases after Lewis, she is left shocked when he has some cold revelations for her.

Despite the unsettling incident, Carmel perseveres with her plan to make sure Shakil isn’t forgotten, but soon faces more upset when she realises that she’s got her dates mixed up.

After a difficult week, Carmel has a touching conversation with Bex – who is also struggling with her grief – and decides to give the teenager a sentimental item of Shakil’s.

Having reached out to Bex, Carmel later has a touching heart-to-heart with Kush, but with her Walford exit just around the corner, how will she leave?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, October 22 and Friday, October 26 on BBC One.
