EastEnders' Adam Woodyatt is working on a food stall in Wimbledon serving cajun wedges and kedgeree after quitting soap

ADAM Woodyatt looked a far cry from his EastEnders character, as he served up delicious dishes on a food stall in London.

The soap actor – who stepped back from his long-running role as Ian Beale last year – was spotted serving Cajun wedges and kedgeree at Pub In The Park in Wimbledon this weekend.

From our exclusive pictures, you can see Adam, 53, getting stuck in, as he helped out a friend on his food truck.

Now sporting a beard, the kind-hearted TV star was worlds away from his moaning character Ian, as he served customers with a smile.

The stall kept Adam busy, but he was seen happily chatting to punters as he took their orders.

He was seen working hard on the stall all weekend, as the crowds poured in for the famous festival.

A source told the Sun: "Adam came across really well as he was dead friendly and working surprisingly hard for a celeb!

"I saw him there both days of the festival.

"He served us Kentucky Fried Pheasant and initially I didn't recognise him,  it was only when someone asked for a selfie that it twigged!"

It comes after Adam ruled out his return to EastEnders, despite previously saying he would return if he was asked to by the soap.

He cleared up any doubt on Steph's Packed Lunch, saying he had "no plan" to go back.

Previous reports stated that Adam never truly refused a comeback to the show following his January, 2021, exit.

Host Steph McGovern first asked him to explain the reasons for his departure from the soap in dramatic lines last year.

"I’ve kind of left, but not left. It’s kind of the way the storyline has gone, I’m not there", Adam replied. "I could go back and I could not go back! I don’t know.

"The speculation has been hysterical. I think everyone is always going to speculate. But there are no plans at the moment.”

Slipping into the skin of the EastEnders chef in 1985, Adam was one of the longest-standing characters in the programme.

He left the fictional London borough of Walford in January, 2021, after learning that Letitia Dean's character (and on-screen wife) Sharon Watts was poisoning him.

In March, reports claimed that he had allegedly been offered a huge sum close to £300,000 to return to the show.

"Adam was one of the highest earners in EastEnders and there’s no doubt he’d be looking to come back on at least the same money", a close source said.
