Coronation Street viewers are convinced that Laura Neelan (Kel Allen) may not be telling the truth about her cancer diagnosis after spotting huge name blunder.
Kelly Neelan's (Millie Gibson) mum arrived back in Weatherfield last month to reveal that she was dying of stomach cancer and only had months to live.
Since then youngster Kelly has been secretly looking after her mum while juggling shifts at the barbers Trim Up North.
She has also been collecting her mum's medication from the doctors.
However, eagle-eyed fans noticed a huge blunder during a recent episode.
A viewer shared a screenshot online o fa text message Kelly received from her mum's pharmacy which read: "Lauren Neelan. Your prescription is ready for collection."
Alongside the snap, the fan wrote: "I always thought that Kelly's mother was named Laura.
"Last night the text that Kelly received was that Lauren Neelan's prescription was ready. Anyone else notice this?"
Others rushed to their keyboards to share their views on the name blunder and wondered if it meant that Laura was lying about her cancer diagnosis.
One fan penned: "Is she really sick or just pulling a fast one. Can’t make my mind up. You don’t see her going for follow ups or a nurse going in."
Another added: "She is pulling a fast one and Gary will find out"
A third person predicted: "An awful thought, but I’m doubting that 'Laura' actually has cancer and this may be a clue from the scriptwriters for us that noticed!!"
While a fourth social media user said:"Something is definitely not right with this scenario. I’m sure all will come out soon."
Later this week, Laura announces her plans to hire a private investigator to track down her the loan shark husband Rick Neelan in a bid to secure his money for Kelly.
Ready to sabotage her efforts and her plan, Gary Windass (Mikey North) tells Laura that he’ll sort a PI himself.
Later, when he meets up with Lenny, Gary explains he wants him to pretend to track down Rick but make no progress whatsoever.
Laura and Gary eventually meet with the PI, the investigator is intrigued to find out Gary was the last person to see Rick alive.
Gary is questioned by the detective about his relationship with Rick.
Fans of the ITV soap know that Gary killed Rick during a dramatic confrontation in the woods in June 2019.
He has since been taking care of Rick's daughter Kelly, letting her even move in with him and his partner Maria (Samia Longchambon).
Gary thought he could put the whole grisly ordeal behind by burying Rick's body.
However, despite the years that have gone by, Rick's body could soon be found.
