Coronation Street‘s Eva Price is forced to carry on her baby lies next week, despite dealing with the trauma of Aidan Connor’s suicide.
Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) has spent the past couple of weeks hiding out at a cottage in Lymm, as she needed an escape for the final stages of her secret pregnancy.
As far as most of the Street’s residents are concerned, Eva is taking part in a beauty course in the US – but next week we’ll see her return home to be reunited with her family.
Eva arrives back following the tragedy of Aidan Connor taking his own life – pretending that she got the first flight back from the States upon hearing the news.
With Toyah still keen to bring up little Susie and carry on with the baby deal, the deception continues as Eva pretends that she’s being introduced to her “niece” for the first time.
While alone with Toyah and holding little Susie, an emotional Eva admits that she can definitely see a likeness to Aidan. However, while Leanne and Peter are in the room, Eva is forced to hide her true connection to the newborn child.
Things only get worse for Eva when Aidan’s grieving dad Johnny (Richard Hawley) pays a visit to the pub, wanting answers about his son’s movements on the evening of his death.
Needing to keep quiet about how Aidan paid a final visit to her at the cottage, how long can a guilt-ridden Eva really keep up the deception?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, May 11 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
