Coleen Nolan’s son has revealed that his mum won’t be apologising following Kim Woodburn’s shocking appearance on Loose Women yesterday.
Kim tearfully stormed off stage after an explosive confrontation with all the panelists. Kim then lashed out at the show in a statement to the Mirror Online as her rep claimed Kim had been invited on for ‘peace talks’, but said that Coleen had "refused to speak".
Shane Nolan spent most of yesterday defending his mum over criticism in the way that the ITV show had handled the situation.
When one viewer tweeted that they would be looking forward to Coleen’s apology, he replied that there "wouldn’t be one" and that the "only apology should come from producers".
Shane tweeted: "There won’t be one I don’t think. She’s not on till Friday anyway. Kim being on was nothing to do with my mum.
"The only apology should come from the producers. Anyway I’m bored talking about the same thing. Night."
Mirror TV has contacted Loose Women to ask whether an apology will be extended.
In another tweet, Shane also suggested that Kim was "clearly not in the right state of mind" .
This comes after Kim shocked the Loose Women panel and viewers after erratically lashing out, crying and eventually storming off the show – but not before branding presenter Coleen Nolan "lying trash".
The pair came face-to-face for the first time since their furious rows in the Celebrity Big Brother house 18 months ago.
However Kim did not seem to be happy to be there, and appeared instantly on edge as she lashed out at people for being two-faced – she later said she felt mislead by show bosses about exactly what the segment, which included Janet Street Porter dressed in judge robes clutching a wooden gavel, would be.
When Janet said that she would be adjudicating the reunion today and asked Kim whether that would be ok, Kim snapped: "I don’t care one way or the other."
She then said: "I didn’t ask to come here… you wanted me to come here."
Coleen retorted that she hadn’t wanted her there either, but Kim ignored her and then branded Linda Robson a "phony".
Pointing out her interview on Loose Women three weeks after leaving CBB , she said that Linda had quietly told her that Coleen had been two-faced.
Kim entered the CBB house in January 2017 and clashed with the housemates from day one. Predominantly, she got into rows with Strictly pro James Jordan , who mocked her cleaning career, and Spencer and Heidi Pratt, who she referred to as "evil" and "rotten pigs".
Her biggest argument involved Nicola McLean and saw Jamie O’Hara step in, who she famously blasted for being an "adulterer". She was then separated from them by CBB security for the night.
However it was after she left the house that she began her feud with Coleen, who she branded "two-faced" for speaking behind her back.
During an explosive This Morning interview with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, she said that she didn’t think that Coleen was a worthy winner and blasted her for being a "horrible person". And in another interview she hit out at "boring fag ash" Coleen .
As things began to get very heated today, Kim said: "I’m not going to converse on this show, folks, I know what I went through."
Stabbing her finger in Coleen’s direction, she said: "Folks, don’t always believe this person who sits all demure."
She repeated: "They asked me to come on but I said I didn’t want to come here… they said that she wanted me to come on."
However Janet tried to calm down the situation by insisting that Kim had previously said that she was "completely comfortable" about appearing on Loose Women.
Coleen then conceded that she was two-faced to Kim in the house, saying: "She came in to play an ‘oh poor me’ card.
"I was trying to keep the peace… we were near the end and I just couldn’t stand it in the house."
The panelist went on to brand Kim "antagonistic" and said that she "wanted to go at people all the time".
Kim retorted that she was "horrible" before threatening to leave the stage.
However, she then hit out at Linda Nolan by calling her stupid, who then in turn demanded to know what her talent was.
Janet asked why Kim had come on the show, considering how upset she was, and Kim replied simply: "Because you paid me a good amount of money." She then insisted that "98% of people" online said that the CBB housemates gave her a "rough time" in the house.
"98 people you mean," Linda Nolan retorted primly.
"Don’t be so stupid," Kim snapped back.
Kim then got very tearful as she began to speak about her "brutal childhood", saying: "The bullying they did to me came to me… I was upset, I pretended not to be."
However when Linda Robson attempted to comfort her, Kim slapped her hand away.
She was then asked why she hadn’t left the house, to which she responded: "I wanted the money."
Coleen replied: "Well there you go."
Kim finally snapped, crying as she said that Coleen could "say what she likes". "I will never forget what the likes of her did… it was bloody cruel!"
She then left the panel, branding Coleen a "con artist" and "lying trash" as she left.
The show then went to a break, after which Coleen revealed that Kim was with members of the backstage team and that they hadn’t wanted the interview to end like that.
Linda remarked: "I’m shaking – it was like the Jeremy Kyle show!"
In a statement released later today Kim blamed bosses for misleading over the appearance .
She said: "“Kim was invited onto Loose Women as she was told Coleen wanted to hold peace talks with her.
“When she arrived this morning, Kim was briefed and told Coleen would speak first and give her reasons for their row. She was told Coleen wanted to bury the hatchet.
“However when Kim walked on set, Coleen refused to speak first and made Kim do all the talking.
“This incident has left Kim incredibly upset and she feels disappointed with what happened.”
Coleen said afterwards: "We have got members of our team with Kim backstage. We didn’t intend for it to actually end like that, we were hoping – actually, genuinely hoping – for some kind of reconciliation, but that wasn’t going to happen."
The ITV show added: "We invited Kim on the show to reconcile with Coleen and put their differences behind them. But it didn’t go to plan."After 18 months, we were hoping the two women would let bygones be bygones. But it wasn’t to be."
