When does Chicago PD return in 2021?
There is good news for fans of the American police-drama series, Chicago PD.
Season eight is returning to screens much sooner than anticipated.
Episode three of the new series will premiere tomorrow evening (Wednesday, January 13) at 10pm ET on NBC.
The upcoming episode, titled Tender Age, will see the Chicago PD team investigate the murder of a family, which particularly affects Adam Ruzek (played by Patrick John Flueger) and Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati).

The synopsis for the premiere episode reads: “When a child is found is walking alone in the middle of the street, the team later discovers that her entire family has been murdered and that she narrowly escaped.
“The investigation leads to a complicated family story that hits home for the members of the Chicago PD.”
Chicago PD, alongside Chicago Men and Chicago Fire, was originally supposed to return to screens last week (Wednesday, January 6) on NBC.
However, the network decided to delay the midseason premiere of all three shows due to its coverage of the riot at the Capitol by pro-supporters.
Episode four titled, Unforgiven, will air on Wednesday, January 20 with episode five premiering on Wednesday, January 27.
At the moment, just how many episodes are in season eight of Chicago PD remains unknown.
The previous seven seasons have between 15 and 20 episodes, so season eight is likely to follow suit, with episodes airing every week.

Episode there of Chicago Med will premiere at 8pm ET, followed by episode three of Chicago Fire at 9pm.
The third episode of Chicago PD will then follow at 10pm and this release schedule will continue over the next few weeks.

Episodes will also be available to stream via NBC.com and the NBC app.

Episodes of Chicago PD air on Sky Witness n the UK but unfortunately, fans will be waiting a while for season eight to arrive on UK soil as usually, the series airs in the UK after it has finished airing in the US.
