BGT fans do a double-take as Loose Women star performs during second semi-final
Britain’s Got Talent viewers were surprised on Tuesday night when they spotted a Loose Woman star performing on stage and labelled her "outstanding".
The live semi-final shows for this year's BGT returned this week with acts performing in front of the judges and audience for a second time in the hope of securing a place in the final at the weekend.
As each show begins with a show-stopping special performance, Monday night saw Diversity take the stage while Tuesday welcomed the cast of We Will Rock You who sang the hit Queen ballad Don't Stop Me Now.
And there was one star who caught the attention of viewers.
It was none other than Loose Women legend Brenda Edwards.
Fans were left amazed at the jaw-dropping performance from the presenter and quickly took to Twitter to applaud her.
One wrote: "Britain Got Talent is on WE WILL ROCK YOU opened the show tonight it was nice too see Brenda Edwards she was outstanding."
"Was that Loose Women’s Brenda Edwards?" asked another.
While another echoed: "Hang on… Was that Brenda from Loose Women?"
"Such a brilliant opening to tonight’s second semi final tonight with the cast of We Will Rock You! So great to see @brenda_edwards as well! You’re amazing as always Brenda!."
When Brenda isn't sitting on the Loose Women panel she's strutting her stuff and singing her heart out across the country in the We Will Rock You theatre production.
Brenda plays Killer Queen, a part she has previously starred in before.
The sensational singer wasn't the only star from Tuesday night's semi-final that caught the attention of viewers as Ant and Dec danced on the piano during the We Will Rock You performance.
Fans praised host Anthony McPartlin for taking part in the "risky" performance after his dramatic tumble live on-air the night before.
As they danced alongside the cast fans took to Twitter as they nervously watched on.
One wrote: "Ant was brave getting up on that piano after last night, more nerve-wracking watching him than the sword bloke."
"Bit risky Ant getting up there then," commented a fan.
Tuesday night's BGT semi-final show saw dance group Yo Highness kicking off the show followed by performances from Nathan and Joanne, Welsh Choir Johns' Boys and none other than Hi Vis enthusiast Viggo Venn.
Two acts will go through each night, the first finalist will be chosen by public vote and the second by the judges – until the show has a total of ten confirmed acts for the final.
The Britain's Got Talent live final will take place on Sunday 4 June.
