The pair will be presenting alongside Ruth and Eamonn over the summer, as cover for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield who are away on their holiday until September.

The television host looked to be very much at home on the famed sofa, but his new role will mean having to leave his own a little earlier than usual in order to prep for the much-loved show.

Here’s a look at Ore’s career to help you get to know him…

Ore’s career

Ore is 34 years old and was born to Nigerian parents and raised, alongside his brother and two sisters, in Dorset.

The star studied Sports Science at Loughborough University and graduated in 2008 and decided upon a career in broadcasting shortly after.

Ore started working for Newsround in 2008 as a reporter, doing the breakfast bulletin and presenting Sportsround, until it was cancelled in 2014.

Next, Ore moved onto doing the sports bulletins for BBC Breakfast and Radio 5 Live, as well as hosting Match of the Day: Kickabout, Claimed and Shamed.

Since winning Strictly Come Dancing in 2016, Ore has been seen on BBC’s The One Show and, now, This Morning!

Other projects the 34 year old has been a part of includes presenting And They're Off For Sport Relief and Hardball, which is an afternoon quiz show.

Ore won Strictly in 2016 and was paired with pro dancer Joanne Clifton.

The star pulled off three amazing dance routines in the final, wowing the judges and audience alike.

Ore’s family life

Ore met his wife Portia in 2010 at a university event, and he proposed in 2014, four years later.

The pair have been married since 2015 and excitedly announced that Portia was pregnant with their first child in 2017.

Portia gave birth to baby Roman on January 11, and he’s now two years old.

Ore often shares sweet snaps with his 113,000 Instagram followers of his wife and baby son.

Inside Ore’s home

The star lives in a lovely home in London with his family.

The family's living room has plush beige carpets and a grey sofa made out of woven material as well as a matching pouffe.

A large wooden table sits in the middle of the room and there are large glass patio doors leading out onto the garden, which floods the room with natural light.

We can see from this Christmas snap that the family also has a large TV perfect for watching Ore in his new role, as well as a built-in white shelving unit which holds plants and a festive sculpture with reindeer antlers.

The walls are painted a deep grey colour to match the carpet.

In the hallway of their home, the couple have double doors with glass windows to peep through.

There is also a Fortnum & Mason hamper that no doubt was filled with lots of goodies that would have come in handy during lockdown, as well as a large grey circular clock.
