Twilight stars’ lives and careers since the films including tragic death of Gregory Tyree Boyce

Twilight made instant stars of its cast when the bestselling Stephanie Myers books were translated to the big screen back in 2008.

The film was the first of five in the hit series of movies that catapulted the careers of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

As they took on the roles of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, their fantastical love story was told over the course of five films.

After joining the Marvel family, Robert Pattinson is currently starring in the latest Batman film, while Kristen Stewart recently was nominated for an Oscar thanks to her leading role in Spencer.

However, whatever happened to the rest of the cast of the franchise? Let's take a look….

Robert Pattinson

Known for his role as Cedric in Harry Potter, Robert Pattinson reportedly used method acting to get into the role of Edward Cullen.

The actor went on to star in low key films and TV shows such as Water for Elephants and Remember Me.

However, this year, the now 35 year old landed the lead role in the DC Comic's epic The Batman.

Robert is in a relationship with fellow actress Suki Waterhouse.

Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart shot to fame after beating off the likes of Jennifer Lawrence to the part of Bella in the Twilight films.

In 2012, she was declared the highest paid actress working in Hollywood.

Since the Twilight films, Kristen has worked consistently in leading roles most recently taking on the part of Princess Diana in Spencer.

In 2017, she came out as bisexual, saying: "You're not confused if you're bisexual. It's not confusing at all. For me, it's quite the opposite."

Following a number of high profile relationships, she is engaged to screenwriter Dylan Meyer.

Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick played a supporting role in the series as Bella's classmate Jessica.

The same year she starred in Up In The Air alongside George Clooney and has gone on to rack up one of the most impressive filmographies of the whole cast.

As well as starring in all the Pitch Perfect films, Anna has worked consistently in Hollywood, most recently in the sci-fi film Stowaway.

Ashley Greene

Ashley Greene is best known for playing Alice Cullen in the Twilight Saga.

She left the franchise to work mostly doing voice-over roles in various video games like Batman: Arkham Knight and Batgirl: A Matter of Family.

The star is married to her Australian partner, Paul Khoury.

Gregory Tyree Boyce

Gregory Tyree Boyce who played Tyler Crowley in the first Twilight film was devastatingly found dead age 30.

The actor's body was found alongside his girlfriend Natalie Adepoju at their Las Vegas home in 2020.

The couple died from the effects of cocaine and fentanyl intoxication, and their deaths were later ruled as accidental.

Gregory had reportedly been "really focused and handling a lot of business," before his death. He was a father to 10-year-old daughter Alya.

Jackson Rathbone

Jackson Rathbone played Alice Cullen's partner, Jaspar.

Jackson attracted controversy for accepting a part in Avatar: The Last Airbender despite having no Asian heritage.

The actor has gone on to land minor roles across TV and film and maintain a steady Hollywood career. He also performed in a funk band called 100 Monkeys until 2012.

Rathbone married his dancer girlfriend, Sheila Hafsadi in 2013 and the couple share three children.

Kellan Lutz

Kellan Lutz career was kickstarted by his portrayal of Emmett in the Twilight saga.

Since then, the role that has brought him the most recognition has to be that of Kenny Crosby in the US crime drama TV series FBI: Most Wanted.

However, Kellan decided to leave the role during the pandemic after his wife miscarried their baby six months into her pregnancy.

Kellan and Brittany Gonzales have since gone on to become parents to one child with another on the way.

Nikki Reed

Despite a handful of roles, Nikki has been more absent from Hollywood than the majority of the Twilight alumni.

Instead she focuses on her work with animal rights groups and promoting vegan living and her sustainable jewellery line.

She remains good friends with her costars, and is godmother to one of Jackson's children.

Nikki is married to Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder and the couple share one son.

Taylor Lautner

It's hard to imagine Twilight without Taylor Lautner playing Jacob Black.

The star took on the role when he was just 17 and is reported to have been overwhelmed with his instant fame.

Since Twilight, Taylor swapped the big screen for the silver screen and focused his work on TV shows such as Scream Queens and Cuckoo.

Taylor Lautner is engaged to his partner of nearly three years, Tay Dome.

Mackenzie Foy

By the time movie number four hit the box office, Edward and Bella had welcomed a half-human half-vampire baby girl named Renesmee Cullen.

Renesmee was played by 10 year old Mackenzie Foy who has gone on to firmly establish herself in Hollywood.

In 2018, Mackenzie starred Clara in The Nutcracker and the Four Realms and in 2020 she landed the role of Jo in Black Beauty.
