People left in stitches as woman mistakes M&S shop sign as a ‘full moon’

A woman left people in fits of laughter after she mistook a M&S shop sign for the moon. Yes, you read that right.

It's true that some of us have better eyesight than others – and with the dark skies it can make things even harder to see.

As Katie walked with her mate late at night they appeared to have taken a well-lit route home.

But her friend mistakenly thought their brightly lit path was thanks to the gleaming full moon in the sky.

In a TikTok clip that has racked up a huge 3.6million views, Katie filmed her blonde-haired pal as they walked through a retail park.

"Is that a full moon?", she asked.

Katie then turned the camera to the glowing M&S shop sign and shared: "No, that's M&S."

Easy mistake to make!

"Someone has bad eyesight", Katie mocked in the caption.

Along with a barrage of laughing emojis, many people fled to the comments to chuckle over the case of mistaken identity – and some could even relate.

One person quipped: "It's not just any full moon, it's an M&S full moon!"

Another user added: "Me cos I never where my glasses."

While a third giggled: "I'm tearing."

Someone else related: "Me thinking the lamp post was the moon."

Meanwhile, a fifth shared: "My dad once mistook the Lidl sign for the moon. He was going crazy about how big and bright the moon was."

Although, the friend might not need to go to Specsavers after all. Some users pointed out that the moon – whether full or not – did seem appear to be above the store.

This isn't the first time Brits have been left giggling online though, as recently a bunch of blokes came across a snap of 'memorial' bench on Twitter.

But this was not any plaque adorned seat as the bench was specifically for men who were 'fed-up' on a shopping trip with their partners.
