Nickelodeon announces ‘Double Dare’ revival
Nickelodeon is ready for another physical challenge.
On Wednesday, the network announced the revival of “Double Dare,” the beloved game show hosted by Marc Summers, which ran from 1986 through 1993.
Returning this summer with 40 brand-new episodes, the revamped “Double Dare” will follow the same format as the original, with two teams of four competing for prizes by answering questions and taking on physical tests, including the messy obstacle course, home to the human hamster wheel and the infamous “Double Dare” nose.
The series will also feature the return of familiar faces, as well as stars from today.
This isn’t the first time Nickelodeon has revamped one of its ’90s classics. A live-action TV movie inspired by “Legends of the Hidden Temple” premiered in November 2016.
