From eating endless piles of Easter eggs to requesting hot cross buns for every meal, the food that comes along with Easter is something to behold.
And as the brand behindthe infamous Valentine’s Day Love Sausage andthe Christmas light-up gin snow globe bottle, it’s no surprise that Marks and Spencer have pulled out all the stops for Easter too.
Posting to its Facebook page, the beloved retailer teased its latest seasonal foodie release and customers have already fallen head over heels.
In a post shared on M&S – Hempstead Valley’s Facebook, the highstreet staple wrote: “Eggstra, eggstra! We know how much you all LOVE our mini speckled eggs AND our cake jars, so we thought why not go one better…
“Introducing our new limited edition Speckled Egg Cake Jar! Dive spoon-first into chunks of chocolate cake and Madeira sponge, topped with indulgent vanilla buttercream, Belgian chocolate sauce and – of course – our speckled eggs!”
With its combination of some of the best foods around – namely cake, chocolate and even more chocolate – social media users were quick to swoon over the new release.
After an eagle-eyed shopper shared the post on the popular Food Finds UK Facebook group, comments from its 143,000 members flooded the popular social media page.
“These look unreal aswell xxx”, one user commented.
Another added: “omg needed”.
Meanwhile, one avid fan wrote: “I soooo neeed”.

The Speckled Egg Cake Jar is the newest addition to Marks and Spencer’s line of cake jars.
Though it’s unclear how much the limited edition cake jar will cost, other cake jars by M&S retail for £4.
In the UK, Good Friday falls on April 15 this year, and Easter Sunday and Easter Monday will fall on April 17 and 18, so the release is perfect timing.
Some of the other flavoured cake jars created by the brand include: raspberry ripple, chocolate vegan cake and lemon zest cake.
In fact, back in July 2021,the high street chain released a jar dedicated to its fan favourite Percy Pig range.
Announcing the product on Instagram, M&S wrote: “*ANOTHER PERCY ALERT* – stop what you’re doing – it’s Percy Pig in a Jar!
“Out today and ready to slot perfectly into your busy life. Take him to a picnic, give him to a friend… have him as the favours on your big day – the options are endless!
It continued: “A jar of layered, cakey, percy-licious jammy goodness awaits you.”
Not stopping there, Marks and Spencer have also previously released a Colin the Caterpillar cake jar too.
