Man amazed by gran’s genius newspaper hack that makes moving house easier

A man was astonished when he discovered his grandmother's genius "newspaper hack" that saves her time from moving furniture into a new home.

Cal Vission, from the US, said his gran had recently moved to a new apartment and as he stepped into the living room, he found newspaper cuttings scattered all over the floor.

In the video he posted on TikTok, the newspapers were laid out flat in some strange patterns and distinct sizes.

He says: "I just want to say this is genius.

"My grandma is moving to a new apartment and she's cut out newspaper in the shape of all of her furniture, to lay out her new house without having to actually move her furniture."

The cuttings are in the shape of the dining table, chairs, sofas and cabinets – the way how Cal's gran envisions the room.

In a follow-up video, Cal shows what happens after getting the furniture in.

The living-cum-dining room is fitted with a plush sofa and chairs around a coffee table in front of the television just by the window.

And a glass dining table is placed at where the oval newspaper was at, along with four velvet chairs.

Viewers were impressed by the trick, with one calling it the "retro virtual reality".
