Love Island 2021 star Lucinda Strafford surprised us all earlier this month when she switched from blonde to brunette. Now, she’s transitioned to phase two of her post-villa makeover with a “reverse ombré” looking colour – where the ends of the hair are darker than the roots and mid-lengths.
She’s achieved this look with the help of some new extra-long hair extensions from Beauty Works. The fact that her natural hair is a caramel shade of brunette, and that her extensions are a much darker brown, means that the finished result seems to be a reverse gradient effect.

Lucinda did say earlier in the month that she was likely to continue her hair transformation in the coming weeks, and that the initial brunette colour might not last.Taking to TikTokto show off the initial colour makeover, the 22 year old revealed that after much debating she has finally taken the plunge and dyed her signature blonde hair a mid brown shade, and it looks stunning on her.
Sharing a clip to her legions of fans, she captioned the video: “When he tries to speak to you again now you’re a brunette” to the tune of High School Musical hit Stick to the Status Quo.
Naturally, hundreds of TikTok users flocked to the comments section of the clip to praise the star on her new look.
“Ok brunette was a POWER move,” one commented, as another user agreed, “Looks so good!!”
A third tagged a friend in, writing “she suits it so much omg” as a fourth added, “she looks well good brunette.”
We can’t imagine there’s any shade of blonde or brunette that Lucinda wouldn’t suit.
