It's the question all Love Island fans want to know – do the girls get beauty treatments while they're in the villa?

Well, since her villa departure, Amy Day, who entered during the Casa Amor segment of the show, has shed some light on things.

Taking to her stories, the brunette bombshell told her 80,000 followers to ask her a question.

One person said: "What about hair and nails on the villa? Was there people there to do that?"

Amy, who was coupled up with Hugo while on the show, replied: "Nope! We had stick on nails and I had to go over my roots with dark brown eyeshadow."

Amy also shared that there was no makeup and glam team, writing: "Nope! I know on previous series they did but due to Covid we could not have that luxury."

Despite Amy's confession, previous islanders have said hair and makeup are on hand to help them on occasions in the villa.

Love Island hot Laura Whitmore said: "On Saturday, when there is no show on, their eyelashes and acrylic nails get redone.”

This revelation has been backed up by former contestant Kady McDermott, who explained: "We had our nails done once the whole time. I was there for six weeks!”

As well as getting their nails done, Laura Whitmore also revealed there's a love of fake tan inside the villa.

Discussing visiting the dressing room, she playfully said: "“I always thought it must be really messy, and they had this blue carpet and it was stained with fake tan everywhere and I was like, ‘I knew it!’.”

In a recent chat with OK!, former Love Island star Olivia Attwood opened up on some of the villa beauty secrets and said it hasn't always been straightforward.

She said: "I have heard that in recent series, people come in to do maintenance on hair extensions and nails.

"On my series, there was absolutely nothing apart from the last week. Us girls who were in the final had someone come in to do our hair and nails.

"A couple of times through the series, they'll have maintenance people coming in. It was hard because you get so used to having your own hairdresser or nail technician, plus with the language barrier, it's hard to make sure you were getting the right thing."
