Yet, as well as getting himself into sticky situations on Harry Potter, the same happened in his real life too.

In 2016, his agent sued him for a whopping £210,000 and the Irish star had to be represented by parents Michael and Fidelma due to his age.

Neil Brooks filed the lawsuit against the family for an alleged non-payment from the near £1million that he is reported to have earned after his role in the Potter films.

The Daily Mail reported that the star had spent close to £1million on "cars, drink and girls."

They lost the court battle, and Mr Murray told the media after losing the court battle: "What’s done is done now. There’s nothing we can do. We’re all gutted now. There’s not a whole lot we can do. We have to get by whatever way we can now."

The family attempted to counter sue Neil Brooks Management for £79,000 but this was thrown out.

The actor said in an interview: "There was an awful lot of things I put money into. I bought a lot of horses at the time… I bought property and the arse fell out of that. It wasn’t all just women, cars and drink. It wasn’t all that."

Devon announced he was expecting his first child with girlfriend Shannon McCaffrey Quinn last year.

He took to social media to share the happy news alongside a photograph of a babygro and scan snap.

Fans of the Irish actor rushed to congratulate him on the news, with one writing: “Such happy news. Congratulations!”

His Harry Potter co-star Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood, wrote: "Awwww congratulations Dev!!

"So happy for you! you’re going to be such a fun dad!"

They've since welcomed their adorable baby son Cooper, and he doesn't shy away from sharing adorable snaps of him on Instagram, much to the delight of his fans.
