Cleaning and styling ‘queen’ Chantel Mila has shared her cheap and easy methods to make her home look and feel more expensive than it is.

The Melbourne mum-of-two revealed three inexpensive tips, including clever ways to hide cables and a hack to make your towels feel like they’re hotel quality.

‘Treat yourself to simple luxuries, because sometimes it’s the small things make a big difference,’ the mum said.

Chantel bought a management box in Bunnings for $25 and a wall cover for $16. 

‘They’re amazing in our office area and to conceal the wires on our TV without damaging the walls,’ she said. 

She then advised her followers to use the ‘rule of thirds’ when displaying items around the home to make areas look more visually appealing. 

She placed two candles, and a vase of eucalyptus on a small tray next to her bed as a decoration.

The rule of thirds is an interior design concept that outlines an odd number of items placed together looks more aesthetically pleasing than an even number.

Her final tip was to soften towels with liquid detergent and one cup of baking soda to ‘make your home feel like a hotel’.

‘Treat yourself to inexpensive luxury,’ the mum said.

Mama Mila’s top three décor tricks to make your home look expensive:

1. Conceal wire clutter with cable covers and cable boxes

2. Style items around the home using the rule of thirds – this states that objects look best when grouped in odd numbers
