Who is Rufus Hound?

Rufus Hound is an English comedian, actor and presenter. He was born on 6 March 1979, which means he is 41 years old.

The star was born Robert James Blair Simpson, but he chose a new moniker as his stage name when he began performing at the Edinburgh Festival in the early noughties.

Rufus grew up in Surrey and really became famous as a comedian after becoming a regular on shows such as Celebrity Juice and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

What else has Rufus Hound starred on?

Rufus co-hosted the iconic Top of the Pops in 2005 and 2006 alongside famed presented Fearne Cotton.

The pair went on to tie the knot in LA's Vegas at the Little White Wedding Chapel. They have two children together, Alby and Hilda.

Sadly they split last year, with Rufus announcing the news on Twitter by writing: "In April, Beth and I made the sad decision to end our marriage.
