What is the latest iPhone?
In September 2021 Apple released four new handsets: the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13 Pro, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max.
In terms of phone design, the iPhone 13 retain much of the style of its predecessor, including the same flat edges and Ceramic Shield displays.
There is one notable exception, however: a substantially smaller notch, which according to Apple has been reduced by 20% when compared to the iPhone 12.
As usual, the Pro and the Pro Max are Apple's premium models, which come with larger screens, better cameras and bigger batteries. The iPhone 13 mini is the smallest 5G phone in the world and features some pretty interesting specs.
All iPhone 13 models come with 5G capabilities, a Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion and the new A15 chip for extra processing power.
How much is the latest iPhone?
The latest smartphone by Apple is the iPhone 13, and you can get it at £779 for the 64GB version, £879 for the 256GB version, and £1,079 for the 512GB version.
Its younger brother, the iPhone mini, starts at £679, while the iPhone 13 Pro costs £949 if you pick the 128GB variant, and up to £1,449 if you select the 1TB one.
Finally, the most powerful iPhone on the market is the iPhone 13 Pro Max, with a starting price of £1,049 for the 128GB version and up to £1,549 for the 1TB model.
What's the cheapest iPhone?
The SE is the cheapest iPhone that Apple is making at the moment. Prices start at £389 for the 64GB variant, with the 128GB model currently selling for £439.
It looks a bit like the iPhone 8 and features a Touch ID fingerprint scanner and an A13 Bionic chipset.
When is the next iPhone coming out?
Considering new iPhones have been released every September or October since the iPhone 4 in 2012, it's a safe bet that 2022's new iPhones will be appearing at the same time next Autumn.
Since the iPhone 13 lineup just came out, there are not many rumours surrounding next year's iPhone just yet.
When is the best time to buy an iPhone?
Long story short, it's now. Every time Apple releases a new phone, each previous generation of the iPhone generally goes down in price.
For instance, after the recent release of the iPhone 13, many retailers have now reduced the iPhone 12 64GB and iPhone 12 128GB's prices by £120 to £679 and £729 respectively.
The iPhone 12 256GB price has also been reduced by £45, from £874 to £829.
As long as you don't HAVE to have the latest iPhone, go back a generation or two around the Apple launches and you can save yourself a bundle.
Black Friday and Amazon Prime Day can also bring discounted prices away from new Apple releases.
