This awards season was certainly unlike any other! But despite very few in-person red carpets and multiple virtual shows, the stars still showed off some impeccable style. Wonderwall.com is rounding up the best fashion moments of the 2021 awards season, starting with one of Oscar night’s best dressed — Zendaya! The actress donned this incredible bright yellow Valentino Haute Couture gown that included a unique cut-out below the bust and a floor-length skirt complete with a train. She also added 183.3 carats of Bulgari jewels via layered necklaces that were worth more than $6 million.

Red was a big color this awards season. Salma Hayek kicked things off in a gorgeous cherry red Alexander McQueen gown at the Golden Globes on Feb. 28. Her bright frock featured a halter-style neckline accentuated with a brooch. When it came time for more jewelry, she added extra sparkle with Harry Winston jewels.

Regina King looked regal in custom Louis Vuitton at the 2021 Academy Awards. The star wowed in a pale blue creation that included structured shoulders, sparkly crystal embellishments in a striped design from the top to the bottom and a lovely scalloped floor-length skirt.
At the 2021 SAG Awards on April 4, Helen Mirren wowed in this beautiful Badgley Mischka dress. Her red and pink gown featured a sweetheart neckline, three-quarter-length pink sleeves and a fitted silhouette. And since the awards were virtual this year, she was able to pose in front of the perfect backdrop — a garden of red and pink flowers that complemented her dress perfectly!
Sheer dresses aren’t usually our favorite style, but Dua Lipa’s Atelier Versace gown truly wowed on the red carpet at the Grammy Awards on March 14. Her slinky semi-sheer frock featured crystal-covered straps, a beautiful butterfly-shaped embellishment down the bodice and a sky-high slit that helped show off her strappy silver sandals.
Bold menswear moments were among our favorite looks this awards season, and Kenan Thompson served one of the best at the Golden Globes on Feb. 28. The comedian selected an olive-hued Bogart suit and rocked a matching bow tie, black dress shoes and aviator shades to complete his dapper look.
It was a killer Miu Miu look for Amanda Seyfried at the Critics Choice Awards on March 7. We loved the star’s menswear-inspired ensemble and the way it incorporated plenty of sparkle with its sequined bow tie and those crystal embellishments on the blouse’s sheer fabric. The shimmery shirt paired with cropped black trousers and sky-high black stilettos was the best look of the night.
Renee Zellweger’s 2021 BAFTA Awards gown was one of the best of the night. The actress sported this show-stopping midi-length Armani gown for the April 11 show that featured a structured neckline and impeccable tailoring. To complete the stylish ensemble, the actress added neutral pointy-toe pumps.
At the Grammys on March 14, Taylor Swift arrived prepared for spring! The superstar sported this flower-covered Oscar de la Renta minidress that paired perfectly with her adorable pink Christian Louboutin heels with a bow detail at the ankle.
Gold was trending on the Oscars red carpet on April 25, with Leslie Odom Jr. making a great case for metallics in this fabulous double-breasted Brioni suit complete with a matching dress shirt. He also embraced another trend — men rocking cool jewelry — when he added a bold Cartier ring.
Not so mellow yellow! Jamie Lee Curtis attended the Golden Globes on Feb. 28 in this beautiful Alex Perry design. From the long sleeves to the plunging neckline to the impeccable ruching at the waist, this gown was one of our favorites of the entire season thanks to the silhouette and stunning color.
Mindy Kaling wowed at the virtual SAG Awards on April 2 in this electric blue Alex Perry gown with a glamorous cape detail. When it came time to add jewels, she opted for some stunning pieces by David Yurman.
Green and gold made a delightful combo for Andra Day at the BAFTAs on April 11. The star rocked a vibrant green Elie Saab gown that included a gold chain halter neckline bordering the bodice that paired perfectly with her oversized gold hoops.
Angela Bassett wore one of the best gowns at the Academy Awards! The star arrived in this bright red Alberta Ferretti confection complete with dramatic oversized sleeves, a thigh-high slit and a train.
