The collaboration between Star Wars and adidas has brought us many out-of-this-world sneakers, including pairs that pay homage to Darth Vader and C-3PO, and now the duo presents the UltraBOOST DNA “Princess Leia.”
For Princess Leia‘s UltraBOOST DNA, adidas and Star Wars adopt a familiar “Chalk White/Cloud White/Core Black” primeknit base and add plenty of apt motifs and designs. One of the most notable additions is that the leather heel clip is now covered in a printed circular striped pattern that works its way onto the full-length BOOST sole unit.
Elsewhere, there are premium details such as a leather mid-panel cage, housing the three stripes motif in its design, as well as a “Princess Leia”-branded heel tab. A tongue tab depicting Princess Leia graces the front, while inside on the sock liner you will find a scene printed on it from the film The Empire Strikes Back – which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, hence the string of collaborations.
Star Wars and adidas’ UltraBOOST DNA “Princess Leia” is set to release on adidas’ website on September 17 at 10 a.m. EST for $180 USD a pair. Take a closer look at the sneaker above.
In other news, the adidas YEEZY BOOST 380 “Pepper” and “Pepper RF” is releasing very soon.
