Size 22 Mum has double op to remove saggy skin caused by 7st weight loss after dropping eight dress sizes in a year following birth of twins

Melissa Bibeau, 33, from California, dropped from a size 22 to a size 6 and says she "feels sad" for the person she was before her "mummy makeover" – which also included a tummy tuck and boob job.

Following the birth of her sons Jaxon and Caden in 2015, the mum-of-two weighed more than 17st after a binge-eating disorder, yo-yo dieting and depression caused the pounds to creep on during her teens and 20s.

But just six months later in February 2016, she revealed her devastation at looking in the mirror.

The stay-at-home mum told the Daily Mail: "I felt a sense of pride for having carried them but also defeat seeing my large empty hanging belly.

"I thought that it would never look normal again."

Melissa decided it was now or never to get back in shape, and began calorie counting as well as exercising five days a week – including pushing her twins uphill in a pram.

She dropped 7st 2lbs in just twelve months – shedding 40 per cent of her body weight.

The new mum then began lifting weights to tone up and started eating several small meals a day to stop binge eating, cut junk food like chips and included equal parts protein, fats and carbohydrates on her plate.

However, after drastically slimming down she was left with excess skin on her stomach and breasts and decided to have a tummy tuck and breast lift as well as breast augmentation.

Melissa, who married her husband Scott four years after meeting him when she was 18, said: "I was finally free of all that loose saggy skin that was weighing me down emotionally."

She added: "I felt trapped in my body, feeling like the way I looked on the outside didn't match who I was inside.

"Looking back, I feel sad for that person I used to be."

Another mum-of-two exclusively told us yesterday how, after piling on eight stone in eight months, she shed over half her body weight by eating only  ready meals.

We also revealed how a mum gained weight after after the trauma of suffering a miscarriage, only to go on to shed over 6st to be crowned Slimming World's Miss Slinky 2019.

Last month, a mum who gorged on Chinese takeaway every day finally lost seven stone by eating every two hours.
