Queen Elizabeth II has met Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden in Windsor Castle for a guard of honour and afternoon tea. For the occasion, her majesty opted for a summery pink floral dress. 

US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden met The Queen at Windsor Castle this afternoon. 

The Queen has met other world leaders during the weekend at the G7 summit. 

HM stood next to Joe Biden and the First Lady for the Inspection of the Guard with the US National Anthem playing before heading for afternoon tea.  

The monarch wore a fuchsia floral dress.

The summer dress featured long sleeves and floral motifs. 

The pink gown was covered in yellow and brown flowers. 

Queen Elizabeth II also wore a pink hat and white gloves. 

She carried her small black Launer handbag which was perched on her left arm.

Usually, the monarch wore a silver brooch and her signature pearl necklace to complete the look. 

The piece, which Queen Elizabeth II often wears, consists of three rows of pearls. 

She finished the look with a pair of black heels.

The Queen’s fashion choice was perfect for today’s unusually warm weather.  

Many took to social media to comment on the Monarch’s outfit. 

“HM The Queen looks lovely in pink,” one said. 

“Love love the Queen’s pink hat!” another one commented. 

“The queen is so damn happy that she wore bright pink!” said a third one. 

The monarch was seen walking by Joe Biden and the First Lady after the Guard of Honour finished.  

They all headed inside Windsor Castle for afternoon tea 

Jill Biden opted for a light blue two piece suit.
