Lidl is selling flamingo, pineapple and ice lolly-shaped fairy lights for just £3.99 each

The price-friendly supermarket unveiled its quirky new range on Facebook today.

The battery-powered LED lights, which are in stores now, come in four designs: flamingos, pineapples, ice lollies and palm trees.

They can be hung inside or out and are perfect for garden parties and barbecues.

A photograph of the flamingo lights caused a frenzy on social media.

“OMG I need the flamingo ones!” wrote one excited shopper, while another said: “Need to make a trip to Lidl!”


“I need these to go round my hot tub,” commented another.

Meanwhile, Lidl is selling a cut-price version of Meghan Markle's £120 Finlay and Co sunglasses.

The sunnies are a dead ringer for the tortoise shell pair the bride-to-be, 36, wore for her first public outing with fiance Prince Harry, 33, to the Invictus Games.

They cost just £2.99 – and offer 100 per cent UV protection, but you'll have to be quick.
