Inside Fearne Cotton's lush London pad, complete with quirky art, antique mirrors and velvet furniture

The Celebrity Juice presenter and radio DJ, 36, lives in Richmond in a period property that dates back to around 1850 with her husband Jesse Wood, and their children Rex and Honey.

“By the time we viewed this house in December 2014, Jesse and I were really despondent,” Fearne told House Beautiful. “We'd seen so many over the months and were convinced we'd never manage to move.

"Then we stepped through this front door and had an instant feeling that it was meant to be.”

The house is full of original features, such as ornate woodwork, stripped floorboards and beautiful wooden window shutters, but Fearne has added modern touches with quirky wall art and velvet turquoise furniture.

Fearne opted for "calm, light decoration" when designing her home, but added colourful touches in the kitchen with pastel pink cupboards and green chairs.

She knocked three small rooms across the back of the house into one large kitchen with a central island, living area and plenty of cupboard space.

Fearne has a pastel-coloured Smeg blender in her kitchen, along with appliances from her own Swan kitchen range.

At the heart of the room is a large Rangemaster oven, which she says produces "the most perfect Christmas dinner!"

It appears to be the place where the Woods hang out, and Fearne often shares snaps of herself baking or doing yoga there.

In the bedroom, Fearne has an antique silver mirror, cream curtains, a double bed and a number of picture frames on the wall.

The room also has a traditional fireplace, with original details that add plenty of character.

One snap of her “cosy spot” shows how Fearne has added personal touches to her home.

There are cushions embroidered with her and Jesse's initials, and a heart-shaped wooden sign hangs on the window frame.

Outside in the garden she has a dining table for al fresco meals in the summer, along with a wicker chair.

The home's original design details can also be seen in the bathroom, which has a traditional high level toilet and wooden panelling around the walls.

Fearne has added an intricate wall-mounted mirror, and kept the room in a soft cream colour scheme.
