I’m plus-size and did an Aerie bikini haul – the black 'one-piece' covered my tummy but I didn't love it | The Sun

A PLUS-SIZE woman said ahead of swimsuit season, she looked to Aerie to find some cute options for chilling by the pool.

While some of the options made her feel confident, others just weren’t what she was looking for.

Sarah Rae Vargas (@sarahhhrae) is a YouTuber who flaunted her curvy body during an Aerie swim haul.

In the video, she began by pairing a floral tankini-style top, which is on sale for $24, with a high-waisted orange bottom, which is on sale for $18.

“I actually like the top. It does have some padding in it, but it’s not the best padding. It’s kind of crinkly and wrinkly,” she said.

She was a fan of the triangle-shaped center that covered her stomach but still showed off her back.

As for the bottom, which she got in XXL, she said that while she “liked it,” she was not “obsessed.”

Next, she slipped into something a little sexier: a $24 blue scoop neck top with a matching $27 cheeky bottom.

“It’s looking like this is my color,” Sarah said, proud of how she looked.

“I really like the cut of the pantie. It’s covering enough and it’s not too skinny.”

For a little change, she tried on a one-piece this time – which is on sale for $30.

“I was so excited to try this one on because I loved the style of it,” she began.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t as cute as she had hoped.

“Not feeling my best in this one.

“But I really do like it. Like if you have some tummy, this is SO good,” she said, referring to the extra fabric that covered her midriff area.

Although she wasn’t taking it home with her, she said that the padding in the top is great for boob support, and the open back makes for a flirty look.

The last option she tried on was one she instantly shut down.

The $15 black scooped bikini top and matching $18 high cut cheeky bottom just wasn’t for her.

“Ugh I thought I was going to like it, but I don’t even like how I feel, and I haven’t even seen myself in it,” she said, frustrated with the fit.

Although she normally likes the sports-bra-style bikini top, she said she usually wants it to come down a bit lower under her boobs.

“This one ties in the back and the straps are a little too thick,” she added with a sigh.

As for the bottom, she liked that the high waist had a V-cut to it with ruching in the center.

“I find it to be very cute. I’ve always liked this cut.”

Unfortunately, however, the sides rode up a little too high on her hips for her liking.

“Will I keep this one? I’m not sure. I guess looking at it more, it looks fine. It doesn’t make me feel incredible, but it looks fine.”

Sharing some parting words of wisdom with her followers, she reminded them that they should feel good in a swimsuit.
