I'm midsize and did a realistic try-on of jeans on the high street – these are the most flattering for my body type | The Sun

A MIDSIZE fashion fan has taken to TikTok to prove that size doesn’t matter when it comes to shopping for jeans.

Rebecca filmed herself trying on various pairs of denim from different brands, all in a size 12.

And while some fit perfectly, others she couldn’t do up at all.

She took this as an opportunity to remind her followers of the ‘inconsiderate sizing’ of some brands.

The fashion fan, known online as @rayylouise_, regularly shares fashion and beauty tips with her 6,600 followers.

During the two-minute video, she says: “I am on the hunt for some new jeans for winter.

“I am so tired of all my jeans not fitting properly, being too tight, going to a restaurant, having to undo my button and I’m just over it.

“So I’ve ordered some new jeans from ASOS in various brands but all the same size so let’s see how they fit.

“So the first pair are these wide-leg dad jeans from New Look.

“They’re in a grey wash, they feel really stretchy, like there’s quite a bit of room around the waist and quite elasticated.

“And they’re high-waisted as well, so I really like these ones.

“Next are these River Island high-rise mom jeans that I cannot even get up.

“I can’t do the button-up, I can’t zip them up, but this was the colour I was really looking for, so those ones are a no.

“Next are these straight crop jeans from Stradivarius which I can’t even get the button to remotely close so these are a fail.

“And finally these slim mom jeans from Stradivarius. These are the winner out of all of them.

“They are so soft, just amazing. They were in the sale for £11. They are really, really nice.

“I was really after some blue jeans but as you can see the struggle with trying to find jeans that fit.

“I’ll just have to keep whichever one’s fit.

“So this is just your friendly reminder that you can order the same size in various different jeans from different brands and they will all fit you very differently.

“Don’t beat yourself up like I usually do when I try on trousers and get really frustrated.

“It’s not you, it’s the brands with their inconsiderate sizing.

“But anyway, at least I found two pairs of jeans to add to my winter collection. The hunt will continue!”

Fans loved the realistic try-on haul, with the video gaining more than 1,700 views.

In the comments, Rachel’s followers shared their similar frustrations, with one writing: “Love this! Thanks for sharing. I hate Jean shopping.”
